Name one thing that is unique about you.

Not only do I do labour support and postpartum support (sometimes 40 hours a week) but I also homeschool my children. I don't know anyone else who homeschools with a work schedule like I have. I am blessed with wonderful family who make this possibility a reality for us.

What type of wood do you have for your home’s furnishings?

The bookshelves are oak. The bed frame is pine. We have almost most no MDF so we are able to avoid exposure to the toxic carcinogens in MDF furnishings. I like all wood though -- except I like it oiled and more than stained.

Who do you talk to most often on the phone?

Doug. My love. My life partner. My best friend. My husband. The father of my children. My lifeline. My dream-come-true.

What level of responsibility do you have in your job?

Depends on the job. At the hospital I am an educator. I am employed by the hospital but as long as I have evidence to back up everything I am saying, I can say pretty much what I need to in order to cover the content. I am also self-employed. In that case (since my business is now co-owned) I have half the say in everything that is done and covered with my business. I work for other people though (labour and postpartum support, etc.) so I have to make them happy. I guess they dictate their happiness and therefore what I say and do.
