babyREADY had her baby show debut!!

I don't know how many, if any, usable contacts we made yesterday but I will tell you that we had a great time showing babyREADY off at the GREENMOM Spring Market. It was a show with a "local, ethical, and environmentally responsible" focus. There were SO many pregnant bellies everywhere, Kristin's included. Lovely. (Especially since mine was not one of them.)

We had a 4' table and on it we were able to set our business sign (created by Nathan Leeson, Kim Thompson and Doug Gardiner), a place setting (to remind potential clients of our baby shower services), a cake to go with that place setting, a monitor (displaying a loop of pieces of our website and listing the services we offer), and a vase to hold ballots from the draw we held offering potential clients one-hour free, in-home consultation for helping families create a less-toxic home environment.

The cake is worth mentioning again. Kristin spent 12+ hours working on it. It is our presentation cake so has styrofoam inside to allow us to store and keep it for future shows. She is amazingly talented. You can see some of the other cakes she has made over the years by following this link.

There were hundreds of people through and we have had dozens of hits on the web site today. Here's hoping this was just the advertising propulsion that our business needed.

Take care
