Busy times

Last Friday we had the pleasure of being included in a Tree Walk with some families in the Guelph Homeschool Group. The walk was facilitated by Lisa who told us all about identifying some types of trees, how root systems work, why leaves change colour and why bark is bitter. (Not to mention many other useful pieces of information.)
Attached here are some pictures of one girl being a tree while the other children are her roots to support her in the wind, tannens in the bark of a birch tree, how to identify a maple leaf and the kind of maple we are looking at, as well as a couple of other, general pics.
Enjoy.
