Marianne (of Fairfax, VA) picked up our friend Patty (of Phoenix, AZ). Diana (of Long Valley, NJ) had arrived at Stephanie's the night before. Lynnette (of Germantown, MD) drove herself! It was 6 friends sharing some delightful time together.
Marianne promised Patty her van would be easy to spot. Literally!!
There had to be champagne for everyone to celebrate!
As with any gathering of womyn who were once a part of a specific female-centred non-profit organization, there is always food!!!!
Then we chased the clouds away so that we could dine outdoors on Stephanie's deck.
And everyone was full of smiles!!
And the boys came to snuggle with their mom!
And their mom took time to pose with Stephanie because she was the best host ever!
And we started our drive home
through the mountains
and even with the dull, overcast skies
the colours were beautiful!
THANK YOU STEPHANIE, BOBBY, KATE, and BEN for welcoming my children and me into your home. You showed us a grace and courtesy that can not be rivaled. We truly appreciate your hospitality for the whole week.
