Friday's Feast

This weekend we are taking Fergus and his best friend out to dinner and a movie to celebrate the fact that my eldest child is turning 10! How did that happen? This past decade has flown past. It isn't even about my own life that I feel like I missed but what have I missed of his life with working and such. He is such an amazing person.

Fergus, the past 10 years have been amazing! Thank you for bringing such joy to our lives and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I love you with a love you may never truly understand, although I hope you do! XO

THE FEAST:

Appetizer

What does the color dark green make you think of?

Ummm, dark green? Other than that I guess it makes me think of life. Rich, deep greens in the foods we love to eat, the plants we love to propagate, and the buds on the trees that will soon be leaves.

Soup

How many cousins do you have?

Lots. 10 living plus two that are deceased. Of the 10 living 2 don't have children and 8 do. Those 8 have given me 20 other cousins. Do they count? And some of those 20 are getting close to the age where they may soon start to have children of their own too and that kind of freaks me out.

Salad

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how honest are you?

Depends on who I am talking to. When I teach a class I may stretch the truth to make a point. I try not to though because people can always catch you up in your lies. I guess an 8. I'd like to be a 10 but I worry too much about other people's feelings sometimes.

Main Course

Name something that is truly free.

Love!!! Hugs!!! Kisses from children. That unconditional connectedness that a child gives to his or her parents. As long as that child is not given any reason not to trust or believe in their caregiver then they are more that willing to open their hearts and give of themselves without asking for anything in return.

I would say a walk around the neighbourhood is free too.

Dessert

Using the letters in the word SPRING, write a sentence.

Singing Proudly Raises Inspiring New Generations.
