A lucky week

The boys came home on Wednesday and it was amazing to see them again. I am always astounded how much I can miss them when they are only gone for a couple of days. They had a GREAT time with Nani and Papa and got a lot of work done on the go-kart. (It will require another trip north to finish.)

I have been fortunate enough to have been invited to two feasts this week to celebrate the pending holiday. The midwives had their dinner in Mississauga last night and it was a great opportunity to see them again. There were a few missing, that's the life of a midwife, but most were there and it felt really good. Speaking with them reminds me why I still want to apply for school for the fall.

Today the OBs from Trillium had their annual lunch at the Waterside Inn in Mississauga. A couple of the midwives were there as well as the nurses from L&D and the LC's from the Family Care Centre. I was the only educator to go but that was the case last year too. It is nice to be invited to occasions like that.

Doug and Ferg are snuggled up watching a movie while Quinn plays Game Cube. I think tonight might be a great time for me to catch up on some reading. My client (due Dec. 21) was having some signs of pre-labour today so it will certainly be an early night, in case I have to get up.

Hope you are having fun preparing for the holiday season!
